In a remarkable display of community solidarity and philanthropy, Mitsu Chem Plast Ltd in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai, organized a humane gesture of compassion through a blood donation camp initiative. The event, held on March 19th and 22nd, 2024, at the Mitsu Units, aimed to extend support to patients fighting Thalassemia and other blood-related ailments.
The initiative witnessed active participation from Mitsu Chem Plast Ltd Unit 1, 2 & 3 employees, as well as members of the surrounding community. On March 19th, Tarapur units came together to contribute to this noble cause, with Khalapur Units continuing their support on March 22nd. The turnout was impressive, with 130 donors from Tarapur and 154 donors from Khalapur stepping forward to donate blood.
One of the most heartening aspects of the blood donation camp was the significant number of first-time donors who eagerly volunteered to contribute to the cause. Out of the 284 total donors, a remarkable 98 individuals were donating blood for the very first time. This not only underscores the success of the event but also highlights the growing awareness and willingness within the community to support those in need.
For individuals battling Thalassemia and other blood disorders, access to safe and sufficient blood transfusions is a lifeline.
